Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
The short version
This summary is for convenience only; it does not replace the full text below.
- We are a job board, not an employment agency, and we are not a party to any employment relationship you enter into (Section 14).
- We do not verify employers, job listings or candidates. Never pay anyone for a job offer and never send payment details to an employer (Section 16).
- AI suggestions are drafts only: a job description or a cover letter is published or sent only by your action, and it counts as your own text (Section 9).
- Paid promotion raises a listing's position in search and the feed (Section 8). Coins are not money; purchases are non-refundable except where required by law (Section 13).
- When you apply, the employer sees your profile, your CV and your cover letter (Section 7).
- What data we process and what rights you have โ in Part II, the Privacy Policy (Sections 21โ29).
1. Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and the operator of the Service. They govern access to the website and all features of the Kuzaza Jobs service. The Privacy Policy โ Part II of this document (Sections 21โ29) โ is an integral part of the Terms.
By registering, signing in or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept the Terms. If you do not agree with the Terms, do not use the Service.
Kuzaza also operates other services under the same account; each has its own terms, and this document covers only Kuzaza Jobs.
2. Who may use the Service
The Service is intended only for persons who are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf; in that case "you" means both you and that company.
Persons whose account we have previously banned for violations may not use the Service.
3. Account and access security
Using the Service requires an account linked to an email address. The account is shared across Kuzaza services; the job seeker and employer areas are created separately, in the Service itself. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Impersonating another person or company, or providing someone else's details, is prohibited.
Your account is personal: it may not be transferred, sold or made available to third parties. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity under your account. If you suspect your access has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us through the contact form.
4. Description of the Service
The Service is an online job board that brings job seekers and employers together. Core features:
- job listings with category, location, employment type, work arrangement, seniority level and โ where the employer provides it โ a salary range;
- job search with filters, listing pages, and a personalised feed for job seekers;
- a job seeker profile with a headline, skills, desired salary and an optional CV file;
- an employer profile with a company name, description, website and logo;
- applications with a cover letter, and application status tracking;
- saved jobs;
- a candidate shortlist for the employer's own listings;
- AI-powered tools (Section 9) and paid promotion of listings (Section 13).
The set and availability of features may change. We do not guarantee that a listing will attract applications, that an application will receive a reply, or that anyone will be hired.
5. Two roles: job seeker and employer
One account may hold a job seeker area, an employer area, or both. Which of them you have determines what is available to you: applying and the recommendation feed require a job seeker area; publishing listings and viewing applications require an employer area.
As a job seeker you undertake to describe your experience and skills accurately and not to submit another person's CV as your own.
As an employer you undertake to represent a real organisation or a real principal, to publish only genuine vacancies you are entitled to fill, and to handle candidates' data in accordance with Section 23 and applicable law.
6. Job listings
The employer is solely responsible for the content and accuracy of a listing: the job description, requirements, location, working arrangements and the stated salary range. A listing must describe an actual open position.
The following are prohibited in listings:
- demanding money from candidates in any form: a fee for consideration, for training, for equipment, for a "deposit", for placement;
- discrimination on grounds prohibited by applicable law;
- multi-level marketing, "financial freedom" schemes, money-mule and drop roles, and anything unlawful;
- publishing another company's vacancies without authorisation, or posting a listing that in fact recruits for something else;
- collecting candidates' personal data for purposes other than the stated hiring process;
- advertising unrelated to a vacancy, and links leading away from the hiring process.
Listings are shown for a limited period from publication and, once it expires, drop out of search and out of listing feeds provided to search engines. We may edit the technical fields of a listing, unpublish it, or remove it if it breaches the Terms.
7. Applications, CVs and cover letters
When you apply for a job, the employer that published the listing receives your application together with your job seeker profile, your cover letter and your CV file, if you have uploaded one. This transfer is the very purpose of applying: it cannot be undone for an application already sent.
The employer sets the status of an application in the Service; a status is an indication for your convenience and neither creates nor refuses any obligation. We do not guarantee that an employer will read an application or reply to it.
An employer may also find your profile through the candidate shortlist for its own listings, if your profile is visible. You can hide your profile from search and shortlists, and turn off the "open to work" flag, in your profile settings; already-sent applications are unaffected.
You may upload only your own CV, and only data you are entitled to disclose. Do not include payment details, identity document numbers or other data the employer does not need in order to consider you.
8. Search ranking and promoted listings
The order of listings in search and in the feed is determined automatically, taking into account the match between the listing and the query or the job seeker's profile โ category, skills, location, work arrangement, seniority and salary expectations โ as well as how recently the listing was published.
Please note: paid promotion (Section 13) raises a listing's position in the results. Match percentages shown next to listings and candidates are a reference estimate produced automatically; they are not an assessment of a person's professional qualities and guarantee nothing.
9. AI-powered features
The Service includes features based on artificial intelligence:
- a draft job description from the details of the listing โ for the employer;
- a draft cover letter from the listing and your profile โ for the job seeker;
- automated analysis of texts for signs of abuse, spam and fraud (Section 12).
Suggestions are drafts only: the text is published or sent only after your action, you are free to edit it, and you are considered its author and responsible for it. AI output may be inaccurate or inappropriate and is not legal, career or professional advice. Hiring decisions are made by the employer, not by the Service: we do not reject candidates automatically.
10. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you post: profile texts, listings, cover letters, CV files, logos. By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, process, reproduce and display it as part of operating the Service โ including showing a listing to job seekers, passing an application to the employer, and running the ranking and moderation algorithms. The licence lasts while the content remains on the Service and ends when it is deleted, except for copies retained under Sections 12 and 26 and backups deleted in rotation.
Published listings are public: they are indexed by search engines and may be shown in external job aggregators through machine-readable feeds. Job seeker profiles and CV files are not published this way and are not indexed.
You warrant that you hold the rights to the content you post and that it does not violate the law or the rights of third parties. We may remove or hide content that violates the Terms without prior notice.
11. Rules of conduct
When using the Service it is prohibited to:
- impersonate another person or company, create fake profiles or fake listings;
- commit fraud in any form: fake vacancies, requests for money or payment details, "test tasks" for the benefit of a customer, phishing, recruitment into unlawful schemes;
- harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users;
- advertise or spam, send bulk messages, or lure users to other services;
- collect, copy or export listings, profiles or CVs, including by automated means (scraping), or use them to build a competing database;
- use bots, scripts or other automation; interfere with the Service or circumvent technical restrictions and protective measures;
- create multiple accounts to bypass limits, or register again after a ban;
- do anything that violates applicable law.
12. Moderation, reports and enforcement
We use automated (including AI-based) and manual moderation and anti-fraud measures: content analysis, technical signals (IP address, device characteristics), account risk scoring and processing of user reports.
If the Terms are violated, or we reasonably suspect a violation, we may: remove or unpublish content, restrict individual features, hide a profile or a listing from search (including without notice), or ban the account temporarily or permanently. We may withhold the details of how our protective mechanisms were triggered.
If an account is banned for violating the Terms, remaining coins and paid promotion are not compensated, except where required by applicable law. If you believe a measure was applied in error, write to us through the contact form โ we will review your appeal within a reasonable time.
13. Paid features and coins
- Coins โ internal virtual units used to pay for features. Coins are not money or electronic money, have no value outside the Service and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged back or transferred to other users. If the account is deleted or banned for violations, the remaining coin balance is forfeited.
- Promoting a listing raises it in search results and in the feed for a limited period, at the price shown in the interface at the time of purchase. Promotion affects position only: it does not add verification, endorsement or any guarantee of quality, and it does not guarantee applications.
Payments are processed by payment providers; we do not store full card details. Digital features are provided immediately after payment. Amounts paid, unused coins and the remaining promotion period are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. Prices may change; changes do not affect purchases already paid for.
14. We are not a party to the employment relationship
This is the most important section of this document. The Service is a venue where employers publish vacancies and job seekers respond to them. We are not an employer, not an employment or recruitment agency, and not a representative, agent or intermediary of either side.
Consequently:
- we do not participate in the selection, interviewing or hiring of candidates and make no decisions about them;
- we are not a party to any employment contract, service agreement or other arrangement concluded between an employer and a job seeker, and we do not guarantee that it will be concluded or performed;
- we do not pay wages, do not act as a tax agent, and bear no obligations of an employer;
- we do not verify employers' identity or legal status, the reality of the vacancies they publish, the accuracy of job seekers' claims about their experience, or the authenticity of CVs and documents;
- an employer's compliance with employment, anti-discrimination and data protection law in the hiring process is the employer's own responsibility.
15. Intellectual property of the Service
The Service, including its code, design, texts, graphics, names and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. Copying, modifying or distributing elements of the Service, or creating derivative products, without our written consent is prohibited.
16. Disclaimer of warranties and safety when job hunting
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any outcome of use. We do not verify employers, listings or candidates (Section 14).
Stay careful:
- a genuine employer never asks a candidate for money โ for consideration, training, equipment, a security deposit or "placement";
- do not send payment card details, bank account access, or scans of identity documents to an employer at the application stage;
- be wary of an offer made without an interview, of pressure to decide immediately, and of requests to move the conversation to a private messenger straight away;
- be wary of "jobs" that involve receiving and forwarding other people's money or parcels: these are usually criminal schemes in which the participant is the one held liable;
- check the company independently: its website, its address, its presence in public registers;
- if a listing or an employer looks fraudulent, report it to us through the contact form.
Responsibility for interactions, interviews and agreements arranged through the Service lies with their participants.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: we are not liable for the actions, statements or content of users, for the accuracy of listings or CVs, for hiring decisions or refusals, for the non-conclusion or non-performance of an employment relationship, or for damage arising from interactions between users; we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or lost earnings; our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid to the Service in the last 12 months.
Nothing in the Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing overrides mandatory consumer rights.
You agree to compensate us for documented losses caused by your violation of the Terms or of third-party rights, to the extent permitted by law.
18. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, contact us through the contact form โ we will delete the account and related data within a reasonable time, except for information we are required or entitled to retain (Sections 12 and 26, legal requirements). Note that applications already sent, and the CV attached to them, remain with the employers that received them; requests to delete that copy are addressed to the employer.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate the Terms or where the law requires it, and we may discontinue the Service as a whole. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (licences for retained data, limitation of liability, governing law) remain in force.
19. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms. We will give notice of material changes in a prominent way โ in the Service interface and/or by email โ before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new version; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and request deletion of your account. The current version is always available on this page.
20. Governing law, disputes and contacts
Before going to court, the parties will seek to resolve any dispute by negotiation: send a claim through the contact form; the response period is 30 days. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
Disputes between a job seeker and an employer are resolved between them: we are not a party to those relations (Section 14), although we will consider reports of Terms violations.
If any provision of the Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. If language versions of this document diverge, the English version prevails.
Questions about the Terms and data processing: the contact form.
Part II. Privacy Policy
This part is an integral part of the Terms. It describes what personal data we process, for what purposes, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Changes to this part are made in accordance with Section 19.
21. What data we process
- Account data: email address, password (stored only as a hash), registration and sign-in timestamps.
- Job seeker profile: name, headline, "about me", city and country, skills, seniority level, preferred categories, employment types and work arrangement, desired salary, the CV file โ if you uploaded one โ and the visibility and "open to work" flags.
- Employer profile: company name, description, website, city and country, logo.
- Listings and activity: listings you published and their statistics, applications and their statuses, cover letters, saved jobs, last-activity time.
- Payment data: purchase history, coin balance and coin transactions. We do not receive or store full card details โ they are handled by the payment provider.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, device fingerprint.
- Moderation and safety data: reports, results of automated text analysis, risk scores and enforcement measures.
- Enquiries: the name, email address, subject and text you send through the contact form, together with the IP address of the request and which of our services you wrote from.
22. Purposes of processing
- operating the Service: profiles, listings, search, the feed, applications;
- matching: automatic ranking of listings for a job seeker and of candidates for a listing (Section 8);
- AI features: generating drafts and analysing texts (Section 9);
- safety: moderation, protection against fake listings, fraud, spam and multiple accounts (Section 12);
- paid features and billing (Section 13);
- handling your enquiries;
- compliance with the law and dispute resolution.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
23. What other users can see
- An employer whose listing you applied to sees your job seeker profile, your cover letter and your CV file. From that moment the employer processes this data as an independent controller, for its own hiring purposes and under its own responsibility.
- An employer with an open listing may see your profile in the candidate shortlist for that listing, if your profile is visible. The shortlist shows profile data and the match estimate; it does not show your CV file until you apply.
- Job seekers and site visitors see published listings and the employer profile behind them: company name, description, website, logo, city.
Your email address and password are never shown to other users. A hidden profile does not appear in search or in shortlists.
24. Who we share data with
- employers โ under Section 23, as the purpose of the Service;
- payment providers โ to process purchases and prevent payment fraud;
- search engines and job aggregators โ published listings and the employer data within them, through public pages and machine-readable feeds. Job seeker profiles and CVs are not passed on this way;
- an external AI provider โ when you use the draft-generation features (Section 9), the text of the listing or of your profile submitted for the request may be processed by the external provider solely to fulfil it;
- infrastructure providers โ hosting, data storage and backups;
- public authorities โ only upon a lawful request that is binding on us;
- in the event of a business reorganisation or sale, data may be transferred to the successor under the terms of this Policy.
List of main providers: Yandex.Metrica (web analytics, Yandex LLC) and our hosting provider. Text screening, search and the built-in AI features currently run on our own servers, so no content is sent to an external AI provider; should we enable an external provider, we will update this list before doing so.
25. Cookies and local storage
We use only technically necessary means: cookies for language selection and request-forgery protection (CSRF), session cookies for internal areas, and the browser's local storage for sign-in tokens. No third-party advertising trackers are used.
26. Retention periods
- account and profile data โ for as long as the account exists;
- listings โ for as long as the employer's account exists, including after they are unpublished;
- applications and cover letters โ for as long as both accounts exist; the copy the employer received is retained by the employer under its own retention rules;
- materials showing signs of violations, reports and the enforcement journal โ longer, to the extent necessary to protect users and comply with the law (Section 12);
- technical logs, sign-in and anti-fraud events โ up to 180 days; records kept for security and abuse investigation may be retained longer where necessary;
- enquiries sent through the contact form โ for as long as needed to handle them and to prove how they were handled;
- backups are deleted in rotation.
After account deletion, data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time, except as listed above.
27. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may: obtain access to your data and a copy of it; correct inaccurate data (your profile and listings can be edited in the Service); delete your account (Section 18); restrict processing or object to it; withdraw consent; lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in your country of residence.
These rights apply to the data we process. For the copy of your application held by an employer, address the request to that employer.
Send data-related requests through the contact form; we will respond within a reasonable time not exceeding 30 days.
28. Security and data location
Passwords are stored only as hashes; connections to the Service are encrypted (HTTPS); access to data is limited to those who need it for their work. No system guarantees absolute protection โ if an incident affects your data, we will notify you and the supervisory authorities where the law requires it.
29. Minors
The Service is intended only for persons aged 18 or over (Section 2). We do not knowingly process minors' data; if such an account is identified, it is blocked and the data is deleted.
